Amy Close, the property owner at 82 Woodland Circle, is requesting a 13.55-foot variance from Section 36-439 of the Edina Zoning Ordinance to allow an 30.1-foot setback from the front lot line where the required front yard setback is subject to the average front yard setback of the neighbor’s on either side of 43.65 feet to the lot line. The variance is to allow the construction of a front overhang with columns/open porch, which already encroaches the setback.

I support this variance. The columns appear to not extend past the non-conforming existing corners of the garage.
