We're getting close to construction. Here is the latest and questions and answers for the topics on your mind.

  1. October 2, 11:30-1:30, I will be out with project inspectors going door to door to hear your questions and provide any specific context you need.
  2. Week of October 1st - Sewer televising and lining trucks will be in the neighborhood, cleaning and living
  3. Week of October 7th - Tree removal contractors will be sawing and loading tree debris, contractor will be doing initial removals of walls, pavement, etc.
  4. October 14 Road closure starts: Move cars out by 7am and park on Brook Drive west of Limerick Ln.
  5. Week of October 14 Construction and road closures starts.

When construction starts, we will be in close communication though this website and using door hangers and door knocking for specific information.

  • Q: Can the city help with security for cars? A: Yes, Police agreed to extra patrols along 'the triangle' of Brook, Limerick, and Hillside.
  • Q: Where do I get mail? A: There will be a temporary bank of mailboxes at the triangle.
  • Q: Where do I get package deliveries? A: This will be based on the delivery company policy and the size of the delivery. Some may use the pedestrian path, others may require off-site pickup, others may use the mailboxes. You can plan ahead by limiting large package delivery during this time.
  • Q: Tell me more about access for home contractors. A: Plan ahead and notify contractors of access limitations to pedestrian only during closure.
  • Q: Tell me more about work hours, noise, dust and vibration. A: Allowable hours are M-F 7am-7pm, Saturday 9am-5pm. Yes, there will be noise, dust and vibration. We'll work to limit and monitor and/or mitigate each with active construction observation.
  • Q: Garbage! Help! A: For those east of the bridge, put garbage bin down to the end of the driveway with duct tape labeled in permanent marker with your address. Contractor will get the garbage bins to the west side of the bridge for pickup and back after pickup.
  • Q: Tell me more about public safety? A: The project team and contractor are actively coordinating with Edina Police, Fire and Ambulance. In addition to provisions for emergency access, fire suppression, the project team will be sharing public safety information from Police and Fire as we meet residents door to door.
