City Council and Construction Update

The City Council awarded the construction contract to Bituminous Roadways on April 2. Bituminous Roadways plans to begin work during the week of April 15. A construction kickoff meeting is scheduled for April 15 at the Pamela Park Shelter Building. Staff will be available to discuss the project details and review frequently asked questions.

The City Council voted to reduce the Concord Avenue 8’ wide shared use path to a narrower sidewalk and to change the parking from the west side to the east side of Concord Avenue. One of the following sidewalk options to be selected at the April 16 City Council meeting:

• 5’ wide sidewalk with 5’ of grass between the curb and sidewalk.
• 6’ wide sidewalk directly adjacent to the curb.
