Construction Update - 10/11/2024
PLEASE consistently check your front door daily for time sensitive notifications. All updates below are scheduled for the week of 10/14 and are WEATHER PERMITTING.
- Sod installation continues into the week of 10/14. See tips for care of your new sod here.
- Boulevard excavation and topsoil installation are ongoing.
- Sign installation continues.
- Dave’s Irrigation continues irrigation repairs.
- Paving the final layer of asphalt in Phase 1 is tentatively scheduled for Friday, 10/18. Stay tuned for updates on Phases 2 and 3.
- Please continue to park vehicles in driveways to prevent construction interruptions.
- Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access.
Sanitary Sewer Lining
SAK Construction will continue lining the City’s sanitary sewer main via access through manholes in the street. The lining is anticipated to be complete the week of 10/14. Helpful reminders:
- Limiting major water use is required to avoid a sewer backup.
- Avoid running your washing machine or dishwasher during this work or you risk your sewer backing up.
- Pungent odors from the lining process are common.
- To prevent odors in your home, pour a gallon of water into floor drains and any infrequently used sinks.
- Check your front door daily for details and notice of this work occurring on your street.
- The notice will include information on the process, and approximate length of time your water usage should be minimized.
US Internet
US Internet is expected to complete fiber optic installation in the City right of way the week of 10/14. Residential internet service likely will not be available until 2025. US Internet contact information can be found on the construction flyer.
Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We have encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
