Assessment Update

The City Council formally approved the revised Assessment Policy on 7/21/21.

In April 2021 the City Council voted to remove from special assessments the cost of replacing poor soil under the proposed gravel base and installing public retaining walls for the 2021 construction projects. The Creek Knoll project doesn’t have many wall installations, nor do we anticipate a lot of poor soil replacement.

We’re hoping the $15,300 pending assessment per Residential Equivalent Unit goes down based on actual construction this summer. If unforeseen changes do not occur during construction, an assessment cost savings of up to 20% could occur but we won’t know until next year when we review the final amounts.
