Project Update - March 2026

The builders and developers are making visible progress on the commercial properties in the 7200 block of France Avenue. Redevelopment of these parcels is important to this project because they serve as the location for the proposed westerly extension of the Edina Promenade and a potential pedestrian crossing.

The Craftsman Office building is taking shape at 7250 France. The structure is complete with exterior wall panels and windows being installed this spring. Completion is anticipated in late 2026.

The Setting Apartment building is also visible at 7200 France. The concrete foundation was finished over the winter months. This spring, the structure will take shape. Work will continue throughout the year with completion anticipated in early 2027.

The City has secured public easements for walking and driving routes on the site. The landscaped area between these two buildings is the potential access point for a future pedestrian crossing to connect to the east side of France Ave.

On the east side of the street, Enclave Development acquired the property from Macy's in late February 2026. Demolition of the vacant building is anticipated in spring with grading and site preparation to follow throughout the summer and fall. Foundation work on the first phase of new buildings could begin as early as fall 2026 or spring 2027.
