Update

West 72^nd Street Intersection Closures Update

Due to the complexity of coordinating multiple improvements, the following estimates are subject to change, so check back for more updates.

Oaklawn and Claremore Drive/72nd Street intersection: This intersection will remain closed into October and may have additional closures for intersection improvements related to the separate safe routes to school project.

72nd and Cornelia Dr intersection: The intersection of Cornelia Dr and 72^nd is anticipated to reopen to vehicles on September 20. The intersection will briefly close again in the fall for the separate safe routes to school project. We are unable to create a pedestrian path through this intersection at this time.

Construction Update:

There is a lot of activity on site, new manhole structures are being painted and sealed, workers are forming for a concrete pour in the middle of the week of September 6.

Bypass pumping is coming to an end and the old lift station will take back flow on either September 1 or early the week of September 6.

The week of September 6 will also watermain work will take place in the road while we make more room on the west side of the site to continue deep sewer installation.
