Construction Update 10/7/2021

Phases 1 and 2:

  • Brick/Paver replacement work in Phase 2 has been rescheduled to the week of 10/11.
  • See the post titled “Tips for Growing Green Grass” or watch the video titled “Growing Green Grass” for reference information on your new seeded lawn.


Phase 3:

  • Concrete driveway aprons and concrete driveway replacements are in progress on Code Ave, W 57th St, and part of Melody Lake Drive. Paving these streets with the first layer of asphalt pavement is tentatively scheduled for 10/15.
  • The concrete curb and gutter installation for the remainder of phase 3 streets is scheduled for early in the week of 10/11. Check your front door daily for time sensitive notices.
  • Following curb installation, boulevard grading for topsoil placement will occur.
  • Topsoil placement on Dale Ave and Bernard Pl is ongoing and will continue into the rest of the phase after the concrete has gained sufficient strength.


Phase 4:

  • Sidewalk excavation began between Hansen Rd and Code Ave. The sidewalk excavation between Code Ave and the Frontage Road is anticipated to begin the week of 10/18.
  • During the sidewalk grading, crews will be preparing the boulevards for topsoil placement.
  • The remainder of the curb and gutter installation is scheduled for early in the week of 10/11. The driveway aprons and concrete driveway replacements will follow the curb and gutter installation. Check your front door daily for time sensitive notices.


Phase 5:

  • Crews began installing new water services this week. Please check your front door daily for time sensitive notifications, as you will likely lose access to your driveway for a day during this work.
  • Once the water service installations are complete, Kusske Construction will contact you to coordinate removal of the temporary water service.
  • Storm sewer installation is scheduled to begin on 10/11.
  • Valley Paving will begin the road excavation of Hansen Rd the week of 10/11. This process involves removing poor soils and replacing them will better road base material. Check your front door daily for time sensitive notices, as you will likely lose access to your driveway for a day during this process.
  • Concrete curb and gutter installation will follow the street excavation.
