Construction Update - 7/7/2023

Phase 1: Grimes Ave and Inglewood Ave

Water main improvements are complete. Residents previously on temporary water service have been restored to permanent water service.
Storm sewer improvements to continue the week of 7/10.
Sump drain installation will begin following the completion of storm sewer improvements.
Roadway excavation and gravel installation is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of 7/17.
Excavation to replace poor soils with stable soils under the roadway and gravel is expected to be significant on the south half of Phase 1. Check your front door daily for temporary loss of driveway access.

Phase 2: Monterey Ave and Lynn Ave

Temporary water setup will begin towards the end of the week of 7/10.
Following temporary water setup, the utility subcontractor, Kusske Construction, will be reaching out to residents to set up temporary water service. They will need access to the home to finalize the transition to the temporary watermain.
The contractor is scheduled to begin reclaiming the roadways 7/12. Reclaiming is the process of grinding the existing asphalt into a gravel base and is anticipated to take 1-2 days to complete.
Removal of concrete curb and gutter and driveway aprons will follow roadway reclaiming.

Phase 3: Kipling Ave and W 40^th St – Work tentatively scheduled to begin in mid-August
