The Salvation Army are proposing to remodel and reuse the existing 28,000 square foot building at 4200 76th Street West into an 18,425 square foot Salvation Army retail store with a 9,434 square foot warehouse and indoor drop off. Other than proposed landscaping, there are no plans to alter the site plan or exterior of the existing building. The request requires the following:
- Zoning Ordinance Amendment to allow secondhand stores to exceed 2,500 square feet in size in the PCD-Planned Commercial District.
- Rezoning the site from PID, Planned Industrial District to a PCD, Planned Commercial District.
- Site Plan Review.

My name is Mary Norwood, I'm calling about your rezoning from level one to level two in commercial in reference to the Salvation Army moving in. I am very upset about this. This has always been a residential area, not a commercial area. And going from commercial level one to two is ridiculous. There are many residents who live around here in condos and nice apartments. The property value is going to go down. Our lifestyle is going to go down, and the traffic is going to increase tremendously. Please don't go ahead with this. Thank you.
