Marco Vincent on behalf of White Oaks LLC are requesting a variance from Sec. 36-437 of the Edina City Code to allow 10.6-foot front yard setback variance to match an existing nonconforming setback at 4701 Meadow Road.

Hi, my name is Frank Bennett and I live at 4704 White Oaks Road. I'm calling regarding the notice of public hearing I received for a project at 4701 White Oaks Road, which is right across the street from us. I just wanted to let you know that I whole heartedly (and my wife Carol does as well) support the proposal from the new owners of the home. They've been so gracious and reaching out and talking to the neighbors about what their plans are and what they want to do. In particular, we’re so thrilled that they plan to remodel the home and restore it in keeping with the other homes on the street, which is one of the most unique streets in Edina. They really want to keep things in line with that. We think the variance request is very small and will not be an issue. Again, we're thrilled to have somebody willing to try to maintain the look and style of a current home while updating it rather than tearing it down and building some of these, no offense, but monstrosities that have gone up around Edina that just don't fit their neighborhoods.
