This was approved at City Council on October 15 2024.


Donnay Homes, on behalf of the property owner, is proposing to subdivide the properties at 5120 and 5124 Hankerson Avenue into three lots. The existing homes on both lots would be torn down and new homes constructed on each new lot.


To accommodate the request the following is required:

  1. A subdivision.
  2. Lot width variances from 75 feet to 50 feet for each lot.
  3. Lot depth variances from 135 feet to 130 feet for each lot.
  4. Lot area variances from 9,000 s.f. to 6,509 s.f. for Lot 1, to 6,515 s.f. for Lot 2 and 6,520 s.f. for Lot 3.


Within this neighborhood, the median lot area is 6,504 square feet, median lot depth is 130 feet, and the median lot width is 50 feet. (See attached document for median calculations.)

    Hi Karen, The City is not aware of a time frame to construct the new homes.  That will be determined by the individual property owners. -Cary Teague, Community Development Director
