West 58th Street from Wooddale Avenue to Xerxes Avenue will be closed to all non-local traffic beginning on Monday, June 15th. Residents with driveways off of West 58th Street will continue to have access.
All cross streets east of France Avenue will also be closed to through traffic.
The France Avenue traffic signal will be removed on Monday, June 15th. There will be no access to France Avenue from West 58th Street. The new traffic signal will be installed later in the project.
Residents on Brookview Avenue and west of Philbrook Avenue will continue to access their homes using Oaklawn Avenue through Tuesday, June 16th.
CenterPoint Energy began removal of the abandoned gas main. Crews anticipate the full removal from Wooddale Avenue to Xerxes Avenue to take around 2 weeks.
Watermain installation began between France Avenue and Xerxes Avenue. The pipe will continue to be installed next week, and connections to the existing watermain will occur at a later date.
Pavement reclamation of West 58th Street from France Avenue to Xerxes Avenue will occur on Saturday, June 13th.
Crews will begin the storm sewer installation on Monday between Wooddale and Kellogg Avenue and then transition to install a new sanitary manhole between Philbrook Lane and Brookview Avenue on Tuesday.
