This variance was approved at the March 10, 2021 Planning Commission meeting.

Neil Theisen, Theisen Renovations, has submitted a request for a 3.3 foot side yard setback variance for a second floor addition at 6117 Chowen Avenue S. 6117 Chowen Avenue S is located on the east side of Chowen Avenue, south of 61st St W and north of Chowen Curve. The existing structure is a one-story rambler built in 1955. The existing structure has an existing 6.7 foot setback on the north side of the house. The applicant is proposing a second floor addition to construct a 2nd story addition that aligns with the current nonconforming setback (versus the required 10 foot setback). The home currently does not conform to the 10-foot side yard setback requirement. The addition will match the existing nonconforming setback.
