Weekly Construction Update #4

Work Completed the Week of July 27th

  • Xcel Energy continued power related relocations
  • Centerpoint Energy worked on turf and street restorations
  • The sewer bypassing system was modified, tested, and is now in operation
  • The City's contractor began mobilizing construction equipment
  • Construction materials such as piping and structures were delivered to the site
  • Properties affected by next week's water shutdown were notified via door-to-door paper notifications

Work Planned for the Week of August 3rd

  • Xcel Energy will finish up power related relocations
  • Water main connections will occur at W. 72nd/Cornelia Drive
  • As part of the water main connections, a water shutdown is tentatively planned for Monday (8/3), affected properties were notified
  • Storm sewer work at the intersection of Cornelia Drive & W. 72nd Street will begin.

Residential Access

  • Residents living on Cornelia Drive south of W. 72nd should use Glouchester Avenue for access in/out during the workday (7 am to 7 pm)
  • Please reference the residential access map for suggested routes through the project area during the week of 8/3. This map will be updated as the project progresses.
