Late May rain water doesn't hang around long

The basin had collected some water the morning of May 24th. Some light rain amounting to about 0.4 inches had come down over the course of a couple hours. The top image shows the basin with several inches of water that looked relatively clear at about 9:30am. The bottom image shows the site again at about 1:30 in the afternoon with nearly all the water infiltrated.
