We know our doors are closed, but as a community we can still stay connected. #EdinaTogether

We understand the challenges in locating the most up to date information on a topic moving as fast as COVID-19. If you can't find your answers, feel free to reach out. City staff is here and ready to take your questions!

Please do not use the Q & A tool to report social distancing in parks. We have reassigned several employees to serve as park ambassadors, looking out for this sort of thing. If they see lack of social distancing, they will ask the group to comply with the Governor’s order and break up play. If you absolutely must make a report, call the Police Department’s non-emergency line: 952-826-1610.

at the track in Edenborough park are the number of users at one time controlled ?

    lcbrandberg asked 10 days ago

The track is walk-in only at a first-come, first-serve basis during open hours.  Edinborough staff tracks the number of participants through check-in and the space is limited. The max capacity is 25% or 18 walkers.

COVID - I see there has not been new data added to the dashboard after 9/23. Is this because there are no new cases or just not updated? Kim Guettler School Nurse, Concord, Creek Valley

    Kim asked 29 days ago

The dashboard is updated when staff are available to do so, so may not be updated each day or over weekends.  The information has now been updated, so should be displaying new data today or tomorrow.

The City's COVID-19 dashboard has a chart of new cases per day. Can you confirm whether that is reporting new cases by sample date, like the MDH's Situation Update? Or is it reporting new cases by date reported to the MDH/City? (The former is much more helpful, especially when a backlog of positive tests is reported all on one day, like I think happened today.) Thanks!

    Douglas asked 2 months ago

The count is the total number of cases reported in Edina up to that date as provided by MDH.  The data is reported as a total number, as well as the rate of change each day.  It is not reported by sample date, it is reported on the date the City was provided the data from MDH.

Is anything happening to businesses not complying with mask mandates? I have to switch from a medical facility because they are not masking

    anibbe asked 2 months ago

Response to complaints regarding face coverings is being done with an education-focused response.  Outreach and education is done with those businesses when the City or State receives a complaint about face coverings.  We then work with the business to make sure they understand the requirements.

Can you add the number of tests and/or positivity data (with 7-day moving averages) to the COVID-19 dashboard, similar to what is there already for daily cases?

    Douglas asked 2 months ago

We do not have access to the total number of tests by City, we receive the number of positive cases only, so cannot add that data to the dashboard.

Do you have an age breakdown for the 38 deaths in Edina

    Kyle asked 3 months ago
The information that is going to be shared publicly is being displayed on the dashboard.  The information you have asked for is not being displayed at this time.

    Thank you,

Can i get a booth at the farmers market for hand made blankets and jewelry?

    Jennifer asked 3 months ago

Booth space at the farmers market is only available for vendors selling food products; non-food items such as jewelry may not be sold at the market. The City ordinance on farmers markets only allows for food products to be sold. Full market policies are available on the Centennial Lakes Park website for interested vendors. Please note that we are no longer accepting vendors for this years market.

On the Edina Covid dashboard, there are now two dates with negative values for daily cases (July 14 @ -4 and July 19 @ -1). Is this just a data entry error and if so can someone correct it?

    Alex asked 3 months ago

Yes, we are aware of this happening on occasion, and have been told that sometimes cases are assigned to the wrong City/County because a clinic may have an old or incorrect address for a client. Once the information is corrected, a case may change jurisdiction and cause the small fluctuations in data.
