Partial Intersection Opening Monday, August 28

The installation of two roundabouts, sidewalks, and other infrastructure is nearing completion. Staff has communicated and required the contractor re-open the intersection before Monday, August 28 for the first day of school. This is going to happen with some modifications.

The contractor informed us yesterday that they need a couple more weeks to finish everything. We held steady that the intersection needs to open for school operations. We are requiring the contractor to have the intersection open during the AM and PM peak school times. Other times of the day they could close portions of the intersection to continue work. They also intend to utilize Saturdays and maybe overnights to finish.

We told them they could do partial closures between 8:45 am and 2 pm & between 3:30 pm and 9 pm.
