They have a couple small things to complete before they can remove the traffic cones. We want the contractor to be protected from traffic before removing them. They should be gone this week. Thanks

Thanks for the questions. It is very close to completed. I will discuss with the contractor on opening it up and cleaning up the signs as soon as possible. Thanks.

Suzanne Kane asked over 1 year ago

After the project is completed this year, the ramp to south Highway 100 will re-open. It will stay open until after the Hennepin County Vernon Avenue Bridge Project is completed in 2024. We are planning to close the ramp in 2025 but we do have time to review the decision prior to that. Thanks

Thanks for the question. The preliminary count is 7-8 trees will be removed from the OLG property mainly along the sidewalk. We are working with them on a replanting plan for after the project. Thanks, Chad Millner

Thanks for the clarification. After the ramp is closed, traffic will use the existing on-ramp at Vernon to access Highway 100 southbound. Thanks, Chad

Thanks for the question. The Highway 100 on-ramp is still open from Eden Avenue. We will be closing that ramp permanently in 2024. Eden Avenue will be closing this week between Grandview Sq and the CP Railroad bridge for road construction. Thanks. Chad Millner, City Engineer

  • Share There was recently some road work completed (cones and signs are gone) on Eden Ave. from Grandview square to Arcadia Ave. Was that the 2021 Construction in the two phase plan or is there going to be a street resurfacing? The reason I am asking is that it appears only some pot holes were filled. The street is still in rough shape in that stretch. So is Sherwood Rd starting at Eden Ave. running south past Grandview Square Condos. I look forward to your reply. No reply need on the following comment but though you might want an honest observation. My wife and I moved here after many years living in Eden Prairie. We have been surprised to see that Edina doesn't keep there roads in as good of condition as EP. Thanks for the question. The work that occurred thus far is only the private utilities relocating their infrastructure. The City project has not started yet. There will be work on the underground water, sanitary, and storm systems along with new roads and sidewalks. Much more work will be occurring and it is anticipated to start early August. Thanks, Chad Millner, City Engineer
