The project includes a LED lighting system, installation of security cameras, improvements to the concrete coatings and pavement markings, and installation of new wayfinding signs. The wayfinding signs will be installed along Vernon Avenue near the west entrance of Jerry’s Market and at Interlachen Boulevard. These improvements will be completed in 2021 and we will require partial closures of the parking ramp.

What is the purpose of the two very large block abutments next Acadia Avenue and the Grandview Parking Ramp? Is this for a bridge for cars and/or pedestrians? What is the scheduled completion date?

Geno asked over 1 year ago

Its for a pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks. It will connect the parking ramp with Arcadia Avenue via sidewalk. We are still working through agreements with the railroad so I don't have an estimated completion date yet. Thanks for the interest in the project. Chad Millner, City Engineer.

What is the purpose of this project? Will you make Arcadia Ave across from Hilltop no parking on the street?

CuriousGeorge asked almost 2 years ago

Thanks for the questions. The project improvements include new LED lighting and security cameras on both levels of the parking ramp, wayfinding signage and monuments underneath the Jerry’s Store sign on Vernon Avenue, a monument sign at Gus Young Lane, and updated signage on the ramp entrances. Structural improvements will also be completed based on recent inspection records. Arcadia Avenue across from the Hilltop is not part of the project. If 5146 Eden Ave gets developed, there may be improvements to Arcadia Ave. We are looking at providing a more defined parking lane across from Hilltop with future improvements. Thanks, Chad Millner, City Engineer.
