Construction Update - 8/11/2023

Phase 1: Grimes Ave and Inglewood Ave

• Roadway excavation and gravel installation complete.
• Concrete curb and gutter installation occurred on 8/10 and 8/11.
• Driveway aprons and concrete driveway replacements are scheduled to begin the week of 8/14. Check your front door for a notification on this work. You will be asked to park on an adjacent street while work is occurring on your driveway.
• Final roadway grading is scheduled to occur the week of 8/14, and the base layer of asphalt paving is tentatively scheduled for the week of 8/21.
• If you had landscaping plantings, rock etc. impacted by construction, we need your help providing an itemized list of replacement landscaping items so the contractor can place the order with their supplier. Please reach out to Nina with details.

Phase 2: Monterey Ave and Lynn Ave

• Water service installation is complete.
• Properties on Lynn Ave who were placed on temporary water main service were restored to permanent service.
• Sump drain installation is complete on Lynn Ave. Sump installation will continue on Monterey Ave into the week of 8/14.
• Roadway excavation and gravel installation is tentatively scheduled to begin on Lynn Ave following completion of the utility work and Phase 1 excavation.

Phase 3: Kipling Ave and W 40^th St

• Roadway reclaiming is tentatively scheduled for the week of 8/14. Reclaiming is the process of grinding the existing asphalt into a gravel base and is anticipated to take 1-2 days to complete.
• Utility work will follow reclaiming, driveway apron, and landscaping removals.
