Construction Update - 6/23/2023

W. 42nd Street

• The remaining concrete items to resume after concrete driveway access to Morningside Rd and Grimes Ave is restored. Estimated schedule is early July.
• To avoid the hot summer temperatures, seeding will begin in August. Likewise, new topsoil will be placed in August prior to seeding to minimize weed growth.

Morningside Road, Grimes Avenue between Morningside Rd and W. 44^th St

• Concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway work will continue the week of 6/26.
  • Please continue to check your front door daily for time sensitive notifications about parking restrictions and appropriate parking locations.
• The first layer of asphalt paving is tentatively scheduled for early to mid-July.

Remainder of the project area

• The irrigation contractor will be back on site to continue restoring systems late June or early July. Please contact Nina if your system has not been restored.
• Retaining walls scheduled to be rebuilt starting beginning of July.
• Miscellaneous concrete work to be completed following work on Morningside Rd, Grimes Ave, and W. 42^nd St.
• The City is aware that the boulevards have weeds. The contractor is responsible for resolving the weed issue and for the subsequent re-seeding. Property owners are not responsible to remove the weeds at this point. Stay tuned for further details on the Better Together Edina website for next steps.
