Construction Update 9/1/2022

Phase 1 – Seeding

The contractor has completed the repairs to the damaged irrigation systems.
Seeding and hydromulching is scheduled for the week of 9/5. Stay tuned for tips on growing green grass.

Phase 2

The contractor began grading and installing gravel for the sidewalk replacement. This sidewalk preparation work will be mostly complete by the end of the day on 9/2.
Final street grading will occur on 9/6 and 9/7 in advance of the first layer of asphalt.
The first asphalt layer is scheduled to be paved on 9/8. Check your front door for a notification of this work.

Phase 3 – W 42nd Street, Grimes Ave between W 42nd & Morningside Rd

Grimes Avenue concrete driveway aprons are scheduled to begin late in the week of 9/5. Check your front door for a notification of this work.
W 42nd Street utility work is anticipated to begin late in the week of 9/19 near Alden Drive.

Phase 4 – Crocker Avenue

Crews began the large diameter storm sewer installation. During this work, you can expect a short-term water shutoff while crews replace your water service pipe. This work is now anticipated to last through the week of 9/5.
- Check your front door daily for more information regarding driveway access loss, short term water shutoffs, and parking requirements.
Following the large diameter storm sewer installation, crews will install the city sump drain.
