Construction Update – 5/9/2025

PLEASE consistently check your front door daily for time sensitive notifications.

Project Area

Phase 1

• Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction.
• Temporary watermain setup will continue into the week of 5/12.
• The watermain subcontractor, Kusske Construction, will be reaching out to residents to set up temporary water service to homes.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.
• Watermain installation is scheduled to begin during the week of 5/12.

Alleys west of Madison Avenue

• Pavement removals are scheduled to begin on Mon, 5/12.
• To avoid alley access issues, please park on the street in front of your homes on Jefferson Avenue and Madison Avenue beginning at 7 AM on 5/12 until the end of the day Tues, 5/13.

Phase 2

• Removals including curb and gutter, driveways, and landscaping will likely begin the week of 5/12.

• CenterPoint Energy's work is not part of the City's Presidents Neighborhood Roadway Reconstruction contract. Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
