Construction Update - 6/20/2025

Project Area

Phase 1

• Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction.
• Water service installation on Van Buren Ave is complete.
• Sump line installation on Van Buren Ave will continue the week of 6/23.
• Roadway excavation on Jackson Ave is scheduled to begin Monday, 6/23 at 6:30am.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.

Alleys west of Madison Avenue

• Storm sewer replacement in the alley between Madison Ave and Jefferson Ave is scheduled for the week of 6/23.
• Alley paving will occur at a future date when the roadways are paved.

Phase 2

• Temporary water line installation continues the week of 6/23.
• Watermain replacement on Monroe Ave is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 6/25.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.

CenterPoint Energy

• CenterPoint Energy's work is not part of the City's Presidents Neighborhood Roadway Reconstruction contract.
• Maloney Avenue is scheduled to open to traffic later during the week of 6/23

Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
