Construction Update – 7/3/2025

No work will occur on Friday, 7/4. Have a safe and happy Happy 4th of July!

Project Area

• The neighborhood phasing map has CHANGED. See the UPDATED construction phasing map.

Phase 1

• Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction.
• Roadway excavation on Van Buren Ave is complete.
• Concrete curb and gutter installation is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 7/8 weather permitting.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.

Alleys west of Madison Avenue

• Storm sewer replacement in the alley between Madison Ave and Jefferson Ave has been rescheduled for the week of 7/7.
• Alley paving will occur at a future date when the roadways are paved.

Phase 2

• Temporary water line installation is complete.
• Watermain replacement on Monroe Ave will continue into the week of 7/7.
• Watermain replacement on Madison Ave is scheduled to begin the week of 7/7.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.

Phase 3

• Reclaiming the road pavement is scheduled for 7/9. Reclaiming is the process of grinding the existing asphalt into a gravel base.
• Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.

Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
