Construction Update – 8/22/2025

Project Area


All Phases

  • PLEASE consistently check your front door daily for time sensitive notifications of temporary driveway access or water loss.
  • Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction.
  • Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.


Phase 1

  • Landscaping replacement will continue the week of 8/25.
  • Sod installation is complete.
    • See written and video sod care tips here and here.
    • To prevent sod damage, please avoid walking on or mowing it initially.
    • The contractor will be watering for the next 60 days.
    • If there is little rainfall and hot temperatures, supplemental daily watering from property owners is appreciated.


Alleys west of Madison Avenue

  • Alley paving will occur at a future date when the Phase 2 roadways are paved.


Phase 2

  • Excavation of poor soils in preparation for the new roadway will continue into the week of 8/25.
  • To avoid extended driveway access closures around the Labor Day holiday, curb and gutter installation is tentatively rescheduled to begin the week of 9/2 (Weather dependent).


Phase 3

  • Curb and driveway apron removals are complete.
  • Temporary water line installation is scheduled to continue into the week of 8/25.
    • The watermain subcontractor, Kusske Construction, will be reaching out to residents to set up temporary water service to homes.
    • Anticipate short term water loss during this process.
  • Installation of the new water main on Washington Ave is complete.
  • Watermain installation on Jefferson Ave is scheduled to begin the week of 8/25
