Construction Update - 5/1/2026
Project Area
- See the construction phasing map.
- Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
- A select number of trees will be removed throughout the project area during the week of 5/4 due to the roadway and utility improvements. These trees have been marked with ribbon or paint.
- All work dates below are weather permitting.
Phase 1:
- Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction.
- Temporary mail bank installation is complete.
- Standard mail boxes have been salvaged for reinstallation at the conclusion of the project. Larger mail boxes will be removed later.
- Water service replacement is scheduled to begin on Lee Valley Circle the week of 5/4.
- Construction vehicles, equipment, and materials is scheduled to be brought to site the week of 5/4.
- Set up of temporary watermain on Lanham Ln, Tara Rd, Antrim Ct, and Antrim Ter will begin in preparation of watermain improvements the week of 5/4. Temporary watermain locations are shown in the map here.
- Check your front door daily for notification of temporary driveway access or water loss.
CenterPoint Energy:
- CenterPoint Energy began replacing old gas pipes in a portion of the project area this spring.
- CenterPoint Energy will also be replacing gas meters inside of property owners homes, relocating them outside.
- CenterPoint Energy's work is not part of the City's Neighborhood Roadway Reconstruction contract. All questions and concerns related to their work should be directed to CenterPoint Energy. They can be reached at
