Project Update and City Council Authorization

Following comments received during the public input period, the proposed sidewalks were NOT approved by the City Council on December 16. The City Council did authorize the design, including the final roadway widths, and contractor bidding phase for the project. Preparation of final plans and specifications will be prepared this winter, followed by solicitation of contractor bids. We anticipate construction beginning in late April 2026.

The estimated preliminary assessment amounts, by district, are:

  • District 1 - $19,000 per Residential Equivalent Unit (REU)
  • District 2 - $9,700 per REU
  • District 3 - $1,700 per multi-family residential unit (condominium)


The final assessment amounts are payable beginning in 2027 after construction is complete.
