Construction Update - 4/10/25

Construction on W 65^th Street and Barrie Road is scheduled to resume on Monday, 4/14 and be substantially completed by 6/30. The W 65th Street work will begin with asphalt pavement removal, followed by sanitary sewer improvements.

Traffic Update

• The following roads will be CLOSED beginning on Monday, 4/14 due to sanitary sewer improvements.
  1. The intersection of Barrie Road and W 65^th Street
  2. W 65^th Street between Drew Avenue and Barrie Road
  3. Colony Way entrance from W 65^thStreet
     • Colony Way will be accessible from Barrie Road during this time.

• The intersection of Barrie Road and W 65^th Street will be closed for a minimum of 2 weeks.

Metro Transit

• Metro Transit is currently constructing a new bus rapid transit station for the new E Line on W 65^th Street between France Avenue and Drew Avenue in front of Southdale Hospital.
• This project is NOT part of the City’s Southdale B road reconstruction project on W 65^th Street.
• The bus station construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2025.
