Construction Update – 5/9/2025

Traffic Update

  • The following roads will remain CLOSED during the week of 5/12 due to concrete sidewalk installation.
    1. W 65th Street between Drew Avenue and Barrie Road
    2. Colony Way entrance from W 65th Street
      • Colony Way will be accessible from Barrie Road during this time.

W. 65th Street

  • Concrete curb installation began.
  • Concrete driveway apron and sidewalk installation will begin on 5/9 and conclude early during the week of 5/12.
  • Streetlight installation is scheduled to begin the week of 5/12.
  • Paving the first layer of asphalt is scheduled for the week of 5/19.


Metro Transit

  • Route 578 bus service to and from Downtown Minneapolis has resumed on Barrie Road and Heritage Drive.
    • Please note that southbound buses coming from Downtown Minneapolis will NOT be servicing stops on Drew Ave and W 65th Street due to construction on W 65th Street.
  • Metro Transit’s E Line bus station construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2025.
