Construction Update - 8/16/24

Traffic Update

• Expect delays driving on Barrie Road between W 65th Street and Heritage Drive during the week of 8/19. These delays may include roadway closures to install new storm sewer. Please plan your trips to account for these short-term delays.
• Driveway Delays on Barrie Road can be up to 15 minutes. If you have critical access needs while the storm sewer work is happening at your driveway, please refer to map for temporary parking options.
• Excessive vehicle speeds are prevalent in the project area, so please slow down. We encourage safety for both you AND the construction crew.

Barrie Road

• Storm sewer installation will continue into the week of 8/19.

Heritage Drive

• Sidewalk installation is scheduled for the week of 8/19.
• Streetlight installation is scheduled for the week of 8/19.
• Although the first layer of asphalt is complete, no parking remains in effect on Heritage Drive.

W. 65th Street

• While the street is gravel, it is open to vehicular traffic. Please drive slowly.
• Xcel Energy’s relocation of their facilities is scheduled to begin late August or early September. Sorry for the delay.
