Construction Update - 8/2/2024

Traffic Update

• Intersections of Barrie Road & W 66th Street and Barrie Road & Heritage Drive will be closed periodically for storm sewer installation. These closures will NOT be at the same time.
• Expect short term delays driving on the following streets during the week of 8/5. Please plan your trips to account for these short-term delays.
  • Barrie Road due to watermain and storm sewer work
  • Heritage Drive due to asphalt paving.
• Excessive vehicle speeds are prevalent in the project area, so please slow down. We encourage safety for both you AND the construction crew.

Barrie Road

• The Contractor will continue watermain improvements into the week of 8/5.
• Short-term water shut offs related to watermain work are anticipated. Look out for emails and notifications from property managers with details.
• Storm sewer installation is scheduled to begin the week of 8/5.

Heritage Drive

• The first layer of asphalt paving is scheduled to occur during the week of 8/5.

W. 65th Street

• While the street is gravel, it is open to vehicular traffic. Please drive slowly.
• Xcel Energy’s relocation of their facilities has been delayed. Sorry for the delay.
