April 24, 2025 Update
Grandview Businesses and the 50th & France District are open for business during construction. Vernon Avenue was closed on April 23. The first week or so is always the most chaotic as travelers find different ways to get to their places. Please be patience. Staff is monitoring traffic. Adjustments have already been made to assist movements. Adjustments are being made to the Interlachen traffic signal. Regulatory detour signs are up. In addition to all the material on the website for businesses to help keep employees and customers informed, the City is fabricating custom directional signs. These signs will help direct traffic to the Grandview Businesses and the 50th & France District. Those signs will be installed late this week or early next week. Construction will slowly ramp up over the course of the first few weeks. Equipment will be delivered, and concrete jackhammering will begin late next week. The contractor will be using the city's parcel at 5146 Eden Avenue for equipment, materials, and employee parking. Our next Highway Talk is May 1 at 11 am.
