Revised Options and Schedule Update

Staff has developed five configuration options for consideration on Wooddale Avenue between Wooddale Lane and Valley View Road:

  • Option 1: One-Way Bike Lanes
  • Option 2A: East Side Two-Way Bike Lane with Partial Parking
  • Option 2B: East Side Two-Way Bike Lane with No Parking
  • Option 2C: West Side Two-Way Bike Lane with No Parking
  • Option 3: Existing Configuration

The details of each option can be found in the Documents library to the right. These options were developed based on MnDOT's Bicycle Facility Design Manual and Municipal State Aid minimum design standards.

The final report will be published to this site by Friday, June 5. Staff will present the report to City Council on Tuesday, July 21. The presentation to Council was originally scheduled for June 16 but has been rescheduled to provide sufficient opportunity for community feedback. On July 21, staff will present the options to Council, discuss how they support the City's strategic goals, review the community feedback and seek direction on which option to implement.

Feedback can be provided to Council in several ways (see Ways to Contact the City Council at https://www.edinamn.gov/772/City-Council). Please note that since this project will be on the July 21 Council agenda, Community Comments can only be provided at the June 2 and June 16 Council meetings.
