As part of the City's Proactive Pavement Management Program, a bituminous overlay is scheduled for Wooddale Avenue between W 50th Street and Valley View Road in 2026. The street currently has a combination of shared and dedicated bike lanes, as well as on-street parking on the east side. In the past 10 years, 19 crashes have been reported along this corridor.

In order to improve safety for cyclists, the City is considering removing the existing parking lane and upgrading the shared bike lanes to standard bike lanes. This improvement would support recommendations within the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, Living Streets Plan and Climate Action Plan. The draft roadway cross sections can be found in the Documents library to the right.
