Key Dates

Simply pick up a passport and collect stamps when you shop, dine or use a service at participating 50th and France and Grandview businesses! Once you reach five stamps, turn your passport in to City Hall or an Edina Liquor store (Grandview or 50th & France location) to be entered into gift card drawings. September’s Walk with the Mayor will take place 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at 50^th & France. 

The walk will begin at the fountain outside Faherty on 50^th Street. This event provides an opportunity for community members to come together and explore Edina’s beautiful downtown while exchanging ideas about what’s to come.

“Please join me at the fountain at 50th & France on Saturday morning, Sept. 20, for a walk around the neighborhood!” Mayor Jim Hovland said. “Window shopping should be at its best with fall upon us and maybe it’s not too early in the day for a bit of ice cream, or at least a good cup of coffee!  I hope to see you there.” 

No prior registration is required to attend the Walk with the Mayor; simply show up at the designated meeting time to walk and talk with Hovland.

Remember to dress for the weather that day. In case of rain, the walk will be moved to Galleria Edina and will begin at the lobby between Cov and Starbucks.

Savor special menus and offers at 50th & France restaurants during Restaurant Week, Sept. 21-25. This year, diners who share their experience on social media using the hashtag #WorthTheDetourEdina and tagging both the City of Edina and the restaurant will be entered into drawings for gift cards to local businesses, generously sponsored by Explore Edina. Learn more about Restaurant Week at the 50th & France website.

The movie will be shown concurrently in Theaters 2 and 4. Register to reserve a spot, but seats are not assigned. Show your registration email to gain admittance to the theater, then pick your seats! Concessions will be available for purchase from Edina Theatre. There are 192 tickets available per screening.
