Construction Update 10/14 (current week, 10/20, 10/27)

Thanks for keeping up to speed with us as the project develops. Keep in mind this information will change as the course of construction and weather affect our work.

Key Update

• SEPARATE PROJECT IS CLOSING NORTHBOUND YORK FOR UP TO 2 WEEKS - October 15 - 31
  • Northbound York Avenue (County Road 31) is closed between Hazelton Road and 70th Street. Crews will connect sanitary sewer and water lines for the future Southdale Library. • Southbound York Avenue is on schedule to re-open to traffic around the end of October.

This week

• Paving of asphalt driveways and the first two layers of the new roadway.
• Placement of topsoil and preparation for seed/sod

Week of 10/20

• Seeding and placement of new sod
• Preparation for and paving of final layer of new roadway
• Signal and push button reestablishment

Week of 10/27

• Installation of traffic signs and pavement markings
• Final clean-up
