Construction Update 9/3 (Current week, 9/8, and 9/15)

Thanks for keeping up to speed with us as the project develops. Keep in mind this information will change as the course of construction and weather affect our work.

Key Update

  • Signal electrical work at Hazelton.
  • A 'quiet' week as we move forward in the second phase. The work in late September gets much more technical with many utility crossing near 69th, and relocation of part of the signal arms

This week

  • Removal of bituminous pavement, curb and gutter, and sidewalk
  • Installation of new gate valves. At this time, a shutdown of the existing water main is not expected for the work to occur
  • Begin installation of new sanitary sewer pipe north of Hazelton Road
  • Coordination with private utilities to locate, clear, deenergize or relocate lines on the alignment near 69th and York to prepare for late September sewer installation.

Week of 9/8

  • Installation of new sanitary sewer pipe.

Week of 9/15

  • Installation of new sanitary sewer pipe.
  • A <1 day lane closure on northbound York right turn lane near 69th.

Please note any items of coordination and direct any questions to William Bauer, SEH, and Ross Bintner, City of Edina
