The Braemar Park master plan was created in 2017 with the help of residents and community members. City Council approved the master plan on Jan. 3, 2018. On Nov. 8, 2022, voters approved via referendum a local option sales tax to allocate $8.1 million of project funding for implementation and next phases of the Braemar Park master plan. Project planning efforts are moving forward for completing final design and constructing improvements in the park. Additional stakeholder and public engagement will occur during preliminary and final design to integrate comment and feedback into the design process.

Current proposed trail and park improvements include:

  • Walking trails
  • Mountain bike trails
  • Cross-country skiing trails
  • Pickleball
  • Courtney Fields baseball complex improvements
  • Wayfinding signs and trail connections
  • Natural resource restoration
  • Improved parking and access to Braemar Golf Course, Braemar Arena, and Courtney Fields

    Braemar Park and Courtney Fields Playground Concepts and Colors

    Help us select playground design for Courtney Field's and Braemar Park.  Each design took into consideration survey results to create unique play areas.  Staff will review survey results for recommended contract.  Color preferences will help to create final playground materials.

    Braemar Park and Courtney Fields Playground Survey

    The Edina Parks & Recreation Department is adding a playground structure to Braemar Park at Courtney Fields, and we want you to help choose the new theme and play pieces. We welcome kids and adults to take the following brief survey where you can pick your favorites from slides to swings to climbers. This is your park, so please help us make it what you want!

    Braemar Park Pickleball Survey

    The Braemar Park Master Plan contained multiple features and components one of which was the concept of platform tennis or pickleball.  Please Edina Parks & Recreation Department to gather information to help identify the needs of the feature and work with consultants to help determine feasible locations and designs for this concept.  We welcome pickleball users to take the following brief survey and tell us more about your pickleball needs and experience.
