Project Update
Share Project Update on Facebook Share Project Update on Twitter Share Project Update on Linkedin Email Project Update linkThe City Council authorized the design and contractor bidding phase for the project on December 15, including the concrete sidewalk proposed on the west side of Beard Avenue .
The space between the proposed concrete curb and gutter and the sidewalk will be determined with input from the impacted Beard Avenue residents.
The Beard Court design displayed during the December 7 Public Hearing and December 15 City Council meeting is not final. During the design phase we’re going to analyze how the existing Beard Court topography and trees may be impacted by our roadway and utility improvements. We’ll request draft design input with Public Works and the Fire Department. We’ll also meet with impacted Beard Court residents during the design phase. Depending on Public Works and Fire Department comments, there may be the ability to make adjustments., Work related to the storm sewer improvements, specifically on the west side of Beard Court will impact trees. The amount and location of those tree impacts will be determined during design.
