Rain slowed some projects this week at Fred Richards Park. Crews continued to make progress laying utility piping and grading parking lot and entry road connection. A rock foundation is being installed at entry point to stabilize soils and allow for stormwater and site water flow. Pipes that support stormwater infiltration systems were laid. These connections ensure the parks exceeds stormwater storage and water quality requirements.

Crews continued work on new pavilion structure laying block work and setting base for upcoming steel work. This new pavilion includes accessible restrooms and a future concessionaire for the park. The image below shows the incorporated sustainable design with additional seating and exterior spaces for park users.
