Grading and Excavation in the SE section of the park has continued. Crews have dug the foundation for the new restroom/ concession facility and footings will be poured later this week. Progress continues preparing sewer and water utilities for the site. The new facility requires new piping and connections to the existing infrastructure. Stormwater connections will also be replaced later in the project to connect wetland areas within the park which will improve water quality within the park as well as downstream to Nine Mile Creek.

Next week will include more heavy equipment which may have some additional sounds for trail users and neighbors. Sounds will be limited to equipment running and movement. Some materials will be hauled from the site later this week and early next week. This soil export is required due to the materials former use as golf course greens to remove any potential chemical residues. Some additional truck hauling may be observed to and from the site during this work.
