Buckthorn and Tree Removal Begins

The process to remove invasive Buckthorn and low value trees will begin. Ash trees will be removed as part of a proactive plan to slow the spread of Emerald Ash Borer.

Street Reconstruction and Site Preparation
Melody Lake Shoreline Restoration has finished this stageSpring 2021 - Fall 2021
Minor vegetation work including killing turf grass and managing weeds will occur while the street reconstruction process is in full-swing. Some minor grading and rock landing installation will occur.

Seeding

Another round of Buckthorn management will occur and the site will be seeded.

Trail Installation and Planting

Plug plantings and shrubs will be installed. The trail will be installed.

Melody Lake Shoreline Restoration is currently at this stageSummer 2022 and Beyond
Maintenance crews will visit several times throughout the growing season each year to control weeds and encourage native plant growth.
