The City of Edina will host a Community Conversation: Addressing Gun Violence 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Ave. The event will bring residents, City leaders, Police and community partners together to discuss recent incidents of gun violence, community safety concerns and opportunities for a regional response. Mayor Jim Hovland will welcome attendees and introduce Police Chief Todd Milburn, who will provide an update on recent incidents and share information that can be made public about ongoing investigations. The conversation will then move to facilitated small-group discussions, giving residents an opportunity to share concerns, ask questions and help identify ways the City and community can work together to improve safety.
