Mowing late in the season ensures that natives have had a chance to go to seed and senesce naturally.

From the shore, the water looks clear to the bottom. White water lily, common waterweed, and small pondweed are visible from the park as well - all native aquatic plants that help to limit algae growth and provide habitat for aquatic organisms.

Buckthorn and Tree Removal Begins

The process to remove invasive Buckthorn and low value trees will begin. Ash trees will be removed as part of a proactive plan to slow the spread of Emerald Ash Borer.

Street Reconstruction and Site Preparation

Minor vegetation work including killing turf grass and managing weeds will occur while the street reconstruction process is in full-swing. Some minor grading and rock landing installation will occur.
