Shannon Drive

• The Shannon Drive roadway and utility reconstruction work will not begin until spring 2027. The extended timeline is primarily due to the pace of utility work.We understand that extending construction to 2027 is frustrating and an inconvenience and sincerely appreciate the patience of residents in the project area. Crews remain on-site and are committed to completing the remaining neighborhood work as quickly as possible

Road Closures

• Kemrich Drive, Lee Valley Road and Down Road will have heavy construction traffic during concrete installation, which is scheduled for Friday, 10/16.Please avoid these areas and use alternative routes if possible. See locations in the following exhibit

Project Area

• If you have any power outages or electrical appliance issues at your home, please call Xcel Energy at 1-800-895-1999.
  • See the statement provided by Xcel Energy.
• Please see the construction phasing map.
• Please set out your garbage and recycling containers before 6 AM. We encouraged haulers to arrive early to avoid conflicts with the contractor and their operations.
• All work dates below are weather permitting.

Phases 1, 2 & 3:

• Sanitary sewer lining (week of 10/12)
  • Visu-Sewer will be lining the City’s sanitary sewer main via access through manholes in the street. If you receive the door hanger, please note the following.

• Parking will NOT be allowed on the street during this work.
• Limiting major water use is required to avoid a sewer backup.
• Avoid running your washing machine or dishwasher during this work or you risk your sewer backing up.
• Pungent odors from the lining process are common.
• To prevent odors in your home, pour a gallon of water into floor drains and any infrequently used sinks.
• See the attached notice / flyer for details, which will include information on the process, and approximate length of time your water usage should be minimized.

• General Notes
  • Vehicles cannot be parked on the street during construction working hours
  • Check your front door daily for notification of temporary water loss
  • Driveway Accessibility
    • You will generally have access in and out of your driveway each morning and evening, and potentially throughout the day. Exceptions include periodic excavations in front of your driveway that may last hours. The contractor will knock on your door notifying you of the excavation work and give you time to park your car on the street, so you aren’t blocked in
  • Tree replacements will happen later in the fall
  • The final layer of asphalt will be installed later in the fall
  • Irrigation repairs/adjustments are ongoing. If your system has been winterized before these repairs have been made, repairs will be completed in the spring of 2027.

  • Lanham Lane, Kemrich Drive (east of Lanham Lane), Tara Road, Antrim Court and Antrim Terrace
    • Xcel Energy’s subcontractor Edison is onsite updating and reinstalling street lighting.
    • Landscape restoration
    • Sod installation on a few homes

Phase 2:

• Ongoing Work (week of 10/12)

• Dublin Circle, Dublin Road, Antrim Road, Kerry Road, Wexford Road and 70th Street
  • Landscape restoration
  • Sod/seed installation
  • Retaining wall installation
• Fleetwood Drive
  • Xcel Energy’s subcontractor Edison is onsite updating and reinstalling street lighting.
• Upcoming Work
  • Asphalt driveway restoration is scheduled for Saturday, 10/10.

Phase 3:

• Upcoming Work (week of 10/12)
  • Down Road, Lee Valley Road and Kemrich Drive (West of Lanham)
    • Curb and gutter installation is tentatively scheduled for Friday, 10/16 (Weather Permitting).
