A quick Thursday update on the project schedule for the end of the week of 7/28:

We're expecting to see the concrete subcontractor on site later today, Friday and Saturday. Rain delayed their work on a separate project and there we delayed showing up to York.

We know it's frustrating to see waits during the project, but we do not expect delays to this phase. We'll let you know if conditions change or if do expect a delay. The remainder of this phase will have two more periods of low-to-no work, once for concrete cure time, and the next for blacktop time limitation between paving two layers and striping the road.

Thanks for your continued patience as the work progresses!

    -Ross, William and Aaron,

The sidewalk on the west side of York Ave is closed. This is for pedestrian safety as construction activities will be near the existing sidewalk. We’ll also be replacing sidewalk at each of the York Plaza/Apartments driveways and the Hazelton Rd and 70th St intersections.

    Alternative Routes:

    • The Promenade - Access from the Promenade to Hazelton Rd or points north is the primary alternative. The promenade crossing York Avenue and 70th St will be open throughout the course of construction. Hazelton Rd and 69th Street crossings will be closed during parts of the project, but typically one will be available.
    • East side of York Ave - Access along the east side of York will be open until the Hennepin County Library project requires its closure. We are coordinating between the projects to try to limit both side closures.
