The project includes design and construction of a new trunk sanitary sewer pipe and manholes in the southbound lanes of York Avenue (CSAH 31) between the Promenade and 69th Street West intersection. The improvements are listed in the 2023-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) under CIP #19-335 and are funded by the sanitary sewer utility.

Planned construction is for Summer/Fall 2025

The scope of construction includes;

  • 2 phases of construction over 4 months to construct new and upgraded Sanitary sewer pipe
  • Phased closures of southbound York between the Promenade and 69th Street West
  • New sections of road, curb, crosswalks and catch basins

    A letter will be sent out the week of January 22 introducing the project and welcoming input and questions.

    We understand this road is the only way in and out of several properties and is important for commerce, so we will be including provisions for temporary access and detours.
