Road Closures

• Washington Avenue will be CLOSED until October 23.
  • The detour route is Maloney Avenue, Blake Road and Excelsior Boulevard
  • The Maloney and 3rd Street intersections will be OPEN during the closure.
• Belmore Lane between Jefferson and Adams Avenues will be closed through Monday 10/6. Please use other routes until Tuesday, 10/7.

Alleys west of Madison Avenue

• The first layer of paving is tentatively scheduled to be installed on Saturday, 10/18 (Weather Permitting)

Phases 1 & 2

• The final layer of asphalt paving is is tentatively scheduled for the week of 10/20.
• Phase 2 sod installation is complete.

  • To prevent sod damage, please avoid walking on or mowing it initially.
  • The contractor will be watering for the first 60 days.
  • If there is little rainfall and hot temperatures, supplemental daily watering from property owners is appreciated.

Phase 3

• Please park vehicles in your driveways unless notified otherwise.
• Curb and gutter installation is complete.
• The first layer of asphalt pavement is tentatively scheduled to be installed on Saturday, 10/18, weather permitting.
• Retaining wall installation is scheduled to begin the week of 10/20.
• The concrete shared use path along Belmore Ln and Washington Ave is scheduled to be completed the week of 10/20(Weather Permitting)

Tyler Court

• Temporary replacement of concrete curb and asphalt impacted by the watermain lining will occur by the end of October.
• The permanent and remaining roadway improvements have been postponed until 2026.

Harrison Avenue, Tyler Avenue, Tyler Ct, Belmore Lane east of Van Buren Avenue

The streets east of Van Buren Avenue will not begin until spring 2026. Several factors contributed to the extended timeline, including the pace of utility work, challenging soil conditions, and weather delays. Crews remain on-site and are committed to completing the remaining work as quickly as possible.

We understand that extending construction to 2026 is an inconvenience and sincerely appreciate the patience of residents in the project area.

While progress has been made this construction season, and all the streets west of Harrison Avenue will be complete by the original November 15, 2025, completion date, it’s highly likely the streets east of Van Buren Avenue will not begin until spring 2026.

Several factors contributed to the extended timeline, including the pace of utility work, challenging soil conditions, and weather delays. Crews remain on-site and are committed to completing the remaining work as quickly as possible.

We understand that extending construction to 2026 is an inconvenience and sincerely appreciate the patience of residents in the project area. We will continue to share updates as milestones are reached and a new 2026 completion schedule is confirmed.

Maloney Avenue between Washington Avenue and Tyler Court will be closed for watermain lining improvements beginning on Tuesday September 3 through September 19. • Crews will be onsite on Saturday, 8/16 to continue excavation of poor soils in preparation for the new roadway. This work will continue the week of 8/18.
• Sump line installation is complete.
• Curb and gutter Installation is tentatively scheduled to begin on 8/20 (Weather dependent).

Phase 3

• Curb and driveway apron removals are complete.
• Temporary water line installation is scheduled to continue into the week of 8/18.
  • The watermain subcontractor, Kusske Construction, will be reaching out to residents to set up temporary water service to homes.
  • Anticipate short term water loss during this process.
• Installation of the new water main is scheduled to begin the week of 8/18.
